"But I thought you were an artist!"

Don't worry, I'm still an artist.

I graduated with a Sculpture degree from an Art & Design university in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic. At first, this felt like awful timing because many creative companies were laying off current employees, not looking for new recruits.

So I moved back home and started working at the local grocery store. I know that sounds like every recent college grad's worst nightmare, but it became an opportunity that allowed me to experiment with some different creative mediums: frosting and fondant!

Now I've found something new that excites and delights me, and I'm working as a cake decorator to combine sculpture and sweets in bright, fun ways!
